About Me

Hello.

The hardest bit is to actually write about me as I find it hard to describe myself without sounding like I am on some dodgy dating web site.  Anyway, a little about me and my little life so, here goes.  My name is Sarah and I have two children one of which has autism.

The Little Girl

My daughter is my eldest child, she is 11 years old and simply adorable.  I refer to her as the Little Girl although she fast becoming a teenager!  She is a social butterfly and would literally attend the opening of an envelope.  She is funny, quirky and very smart; she has a wicked sense of humour and is very dry.  And for some reason she is very artistic.  I on the other hand can hardly draw a match stick man.

The Little Fella

I also have a son who is 7  he has autism, learning disabilities and phonological disorder.  I call him the Little Fella; hence the name of this blog.  He loves Transformer’s, Robot’s and any toy that is ‘boyish’.  The Little Fella is very loving and a cuddle from him is just wonderful.  He never ceases to amaze me with his progress and has taught me so much.  It’s actually quite ironic we call him this as he is actually quite big.  But I suppose a sense of humour sprinkled with lots of irony go a long way with the challenges we face throughout the day!

This blog may not necessarily all be about autism but it is about our little life together.  The trials, tribulations, frustrations and about little obstacles that get in the way of this so-called life.  It’s also a place to let off steam so I don’t go completely insane.
